Gonna be a Wild Weekend…

I would say, judging by the arrival of many-a-boats and personal watercraft this morning, that it’s going to be a very busy weekend on the lake. That’s fine. We’re huge. Not worried about anyone intruding upon our little corner. I had a good laugh at my brother when after a tool around on the wave runners this morning he asked me, “Did you notice any cute girls out there?”

Sorry, little bro, I’m not really looking for the 13 year old variety… I’ve just never heard him mention the opposite sex, much less suggest that he might be looking for some vacation action!? What? Hilarious.

How ’bout this heat? Occasionally, I’ll get some cell reception out here. One of my buddy’s from home called and was telling me that there was a player and coach who died due to the heat in South Carolina and in Texas. That is really scary. We were fortunate enough to have some indoor facilities to workout in, including the gym, where we would work routes in basketball or running shoes. You do what you gotta do. But people dying? Scary.

Speaking of football, I’m nuts about this Kevin Kolb deal. I think he’s going to be a stud. I think he’ll get this team moving in the right direction and that Fitz will stick around due to him. I think Fitzgerald is gonna have a monster year, and I’m officially stating that this will be Early Doucet’s breakout year. We’re gonna win the NFC West this season. I think San Francisco will be pretty decent under Harbaugh, and St. Louis is the team I see as the biggest threat, but I think we’ve got a legit chance to win 10-plus games.

Another great day for the face. I woke up looking better and clearer than I can honestly remember looking. Maybe there’s something to this Colorado River water. Some sun daily. Or maybe it’s because I’ve just been eating a ton of fruit and vegetables during the day, and only eating one big meaty meal a night off the grill. Hmmm. May have to continue such a diet. I’ll keep you all posted.
